A&O continues to be founded on 5 Core Values: Relationships, Trust, Teamwork, Servant Attitudes and Stewardship.
“We feel that, given our “team” relationship, we can call upon Alpha & Omega Group at any time.”
Chuck Kinne, Kings Park International Church.
Relationships
The key ingredient of a successful business.
Nurturing long-term client relationships, while focusing on service, is accomplished by seeking to understand each clients’ specific needs. Over time, the better knowledge and understanding of each client, the greater ability to serve. In relationships A&O strives to have this same mindset as Christ Jesus.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3;16-17 (NIV)
Trust
The essential link in the chain.
Long-lasting relationships are essentially based on trust and are the foundation of mutual respect. In order for a client to surrender their project, including significant budgets, one must place trust in the engineer, with faith. Trust is grown, nurtured and strengthened through honest and open communication from all involved.
Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to falsehood. Psalms 40:4 (NIV)
Teamwork
The necessary part of the process.
It is no doubt that any successful project takes teamwork. All involved in the project play a key role; from the owner, to the designer, to the contractor, to the end user. Each contribute to making the project a success. Great teamwork leads to a winning team!
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (NIV)
Servant Attitudes
The foundation of the service industry.
Engineers lead by serving others. By understanding each client’s needs, the team is able to solve their unique problems in a creative manner. A&O has a focus to place clients before personal interests and sets the standard with an eternal focus.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)
Stewardship
The basis for the use of resources.
As the earth’s Creator, God owns every square inch of it, including all that is in, around and on top. Therefore it is the responsibility of the tenants, us, to care for it using the talents, resources and mind He has provided. As good Stewards of all resources, success in improving communities is the ultimate goal.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV)
