Alpha & Omega Group was hired as a consultant to Bartlett Engineering in 2008 to perform the structural investigation and repairs for the Boykin Theater truss system.
As a sub-consultant, Alpha & Omega Group’s responsibilities included, providing hands-on visual inspection of roof trusses/supporting masonry pilasters, documenting deteriorated condition of structural elements, preparing an inspection report, performing structural analysis on roof trusses, truss repair design, meeting with owner to discuss findings, develop repair details, providing an engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost for the repairs, and providing construction observation during repairs.
