In August of 2009, A&O provided an NBIS Inspection of the Holden Beach Bridge and the Ocean Isle Beach Bridge located in Brunswick County, NC for the NCDOT Bridge Management Unit.

Holden Beach bridge consists of 20 spans with varying lengths of prestressed precast concrete AASHTO girders and 3 spans with varying lengths of prestressed precast concrete box beams supported by cast-in-place, post and beam reinforced concrete substructure piers on piles. The overall length of the bridge is approximately 1,800 feet.

Ocean Isle Beach bridge consists of 21 spans of varying lengths of prestressed precast concrete AASHTO girders supported by cast-in-place, post and beam reinforced concrete substructure piers on piles. The overall length of the bridge is approximately 1,900 feet.
