Lake Crabtree
Platform Redecking, Timber Replacement
Alpha & Omega Group provided professional engineering services for Wake County, developing construction documents for repair and replacement of the decking and railing of the Lake Crabtree boat rental dock.
A&O assessed a concrete bulkhead wall along the lakeside perimeter, concrete footings below grade, and a timber girder substructure. We also assessed a boat rental shed, wood stairways, two wood plank planters, deck railing, the connections of the floating docks at the bulkhead, and the handrails with benches.
After the assessment, A&O developed a demolition plan and construction documents to replace the decking and railing. We developed a cost estimate and assisted with bidding. Our construction administration services included submittal review, construction observation, field observation reports, pay application review, compliance certification, certification of substantial completion, and closeout documents
