As part of the WSP Group design team, Alpha & Omega Group performed structural and hydraulic engineering services for Raleigh Parks & Recreation Department’s Honeycutt Creek Greenway: preliminary engineering, data collection and field investigation/reconnaissance, coordination with Geotechnologies for geotechnical investigation, foundations recommendations, flood studies and bridge design.
The design work for the nearly five miles of greenway involved hydraulic studies on East Fork Mine Creek and Honeycutt Creek. We prepared and submitted a conditional letter of map revision (CLOMR) and prepared design and construction drawings for three pre-engineered bridges, 16 bridges/boardwalks with a total length over 2,500 feet, and nine retaining walls.
Alpha & Omega Group served as the construction administrator and the liaison for a related stream restoration project.
